Last month, we had the opportunity to attend Chemical Watch’s Food Contact Regulations USA in Washington D.C. and our Technical Services Manager, Eric Andrews presented on the topic of assessing and managing the risk assessment of food contact materials and shared updates from Europe including the EU declaration of compliance.
Our team at Colour Synthesis Solutions is constantly refining and sharpening our expertise and events like this conference give us the opportunity to meet with other industry leaders to discuss the current challenges and work on solutions.
At Food Contact Regulations USA, we were able to start and join in on discussions involving the United States Federal Drug Administration (FDA).
We were also able to get valuable input on the legal aspects associated with this specific sector of the industry.
There’s always a theme that comes to the surface at the conferences we attend and this year, we noticed that trends are moving towards clean, safe packaging that can be recycled which has the potential to help companies reduce their carbon footprint.
This year’s conference was a success and we’re proud of Eric for sharing his expertise with all in attendance.
The Smithers’ Global Food Contact 2020 conference in Bethesda, MD has been postponed and we’ve been notified that an online version of the event could be available to attendees.
